Hólmfríður Rist Jónsdóttir

Founder, Research and development

Has a multidisciplinary background, holding a MSc. in Biomedical Engineering from Trinity College Dublin and a BSc. Her work focuses on advancing innovative solutions that bridge technology and clinical care. Passionate about improving diagnostics, she integrates knowledge from diverse fields, such as tissue engineering, additive manufacturing and research to create impactful healthcare tools.

Prof. Richard Costello

clinical specialist

Currently a Professor of Respiratory Medicine at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and Consultant Respiratory Physician at Beaumont Hospital. He served as Chair of Education at the European Respiratory Society. His work is focused on studying new technologies to optimize outcomes for patients with respiratory disease. He has published over 180 research papers and holds multiple patents.

Kristján Vernharðsson

Programming Specialist

Kristján, with a MSc. in Astrophysics from the University of Lund, specializes in applying programming and data analysis to healthcare innovation. At Onálu, he works on developing diagnostic solutions for lung diseases, focusing on signal processing, machine learning, and project management to enhance diagnostic methods and guide research efforts.
